Pune Warriors had a easy victory over Kings XI Punjab. It was an one sided show from starting of the match at the DY Patil Stadium.
Kings XI Punjab lost their 4 early wickets for just 9 runs. Shrikant Wagh’s 3 wickets and Alfonso Thomas’s 2 wickets effectively restricted the Punjab team for just 112 for a loss of 8 wickets. It was only Ryan McLaren with his individual score of 51, showed some resistance.
Pune Warriors lost their opener Graeme Smith’s wicket on very first of their innings. But, after this fall of wicket, Jesse Ryder and Mithun Manhas gave a 60 runs partnership. Nayar broke this partnership by taking the wicket of Manhas and immediately in the next over Pune Warriors even lost the wicket of Jesse Ryder. After this Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa easily won over Kings XI Punjab.
