Captain Ricky Ponting struck his third half-century of the series and Cameron White hit 62 as Australia were bowled out for 250 in the fourth one-dayer against India on Monday. Ponting made a chanceless 52 and put on 64 for the second wicket with opener Shane Watson (49) after top-ranked Australia, 2-1 down in the seven-match series, were asked to bat first in the day/night game. The dismissal of Ponting, run out by a direct hit from Ravindra Jadeja, after Watson had fallen to off-spinner Harbhajan Singh represented a double setback for the visitors. White and the in-form Michael Hussey (40) put on 73 for the fourth wicket in quick time but part-time spinner Yuvraj Singh struck another big blow by having the left-hander caught in the deep. All-rounder White was then run out before India went on to bowl out Australia in the final over. Left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra was the pick of the attack with three for 37. |
